12V fixed voltage power supply
This circuit diagram is for a 12 volt fixed voltage Dc power supply.The average current of this power supply is about to 1Amp.The ic which is used in this circuit is LM7812.It is a 3 terminal positive voltage regulator IC.This IC has short circuit protection as well as thermal overload proctection.IC LM7812 is used for a 12V power supply and also we well use LM7805 for 5V fixed voltage power supply.Transformer which we are using in this circuit is a 12 Volt, 1 Amp step down transformer which converts 230V to 12 V .The bridge rectifier which is using in this circuit is made by four 1N4007 or 1N4003 diode to Convert AC to DC .1000uF,25V capacitor is used for reduce the ripple and get a smooth DC voltage.Use a heat sink to IC LM7812 for safeguarding it from overheating.
